Definitely not a chain but very clean, comfortable, updated, with nice amenities. Good breakfast buffet. Very good value for the price. Would definitely stay here again.
A great hotel at a great value. My family recently stayed here for two nights to attend a college game in nearby Jonesboro, AR. The staff was extremely knowledgeable about the area and made several restaurant recommendations that were on point!! Rooms were super clean and very quiet. The complimentary breakfast is definitely not to be missed!! Waffles, pancakes, biscuit and gravy, sausage fruit, etc. Can not enough good stuff about this place!
Excellent service, great price and location. The manager was so accommating in offering us a choice of rooms due to our mobility issues. Staff was so pleasant and helpful. Very clean rooms, everything worked great and fridge and microwave were raised that avoided bending down low. Full breakfast menu was the perfect way to start our touring trips to Memphis. Will stay there again in a heartbeat and recommend it highly.
I would give 0 stars if I could. We had an unpleasant incident where staff forced their way into our room. Apparently they had an unaccounted for key card to our room which was turned in by someone else. Expecting the room to be empty and then taking us for squatters they barged into the room. Manager and Owner had to have this situation explained to them before they apologized. They were hardly in a rush to take ownership for the bad practices that had led to a key card going unaccounted for. Stay here at your own risk - property is not secure if there are missing key cards showing up. Also don't expect your privacy to be valued - staff can barge in at any time even if you repeatedly tell them to give you a minute so that you can come to the door to let them in. This place definitely does not deserve the high reviews it has across platforms. I would have been somewhat lenient if the owner and manager had attempted to make things right in some way after this incident occurred - However, we were left feeling like we were the ones who had made the mistake and this was a "routine occurrence" that couldn't be avoided. Definitely not putting the experience (or safety) of your customer first. Owner also needs to be trained on racial sensitivity - referred to the gentleman who turned in the unaccounted for card as a "white american" where as I (THE PAYING GUEST) was somehow obviously not -ethnicity and nationality are completely separate and there are certainly guests who would have been way more offended than I was by that rhetoric. Take your money elsewhere or be willing to sleep knowing your door is not secure
Wonderful stay! Too bad it was just over night. Clean, nicely decorated, comfortable beds, slippers and chocolates on the bed. Best hotel breakfast EVER! Cooked to order eggs, fluffy pancakes and waffles, biscuits and gravy. My favorite fresh fruit, watermelon, cantaloupe and pineapple. Owner is a Marine. Wish he and his family much success!!
